Following hotel pick-up in Ho Chi Minh City, take a 75-minute drive south to a scenic countryside café set among dragon fruit orchards in Cho Gao.

After bike fitting and a briefing, begin cycling along narrow, scenic trails winding through extensive dragon fruit fields. Stop to chat with local farmers, learn about unique cultivation methods on cactus-like vines, and sample freshly harvested fruit. Continue along quiet paths to visit an archaeological site linked to the ancient Oc Eo civilization.

What should I pack?

To make the most of your 56 km ride through the dragon fruit plantations and Mekong island trails, we recommend bringing:

• Cycling attire: Breathable, moisture-wicking sportswear or quick-dry t-shirts. Padded cycling shorts are strongly recommended for comfort over the 56 km distance.
• Footwear: Closed-toe sports shoes, sneakers, or cycling shoes suitable for pedaling on concrete paths and gravel trails (flip-flops/sandals are not permitted while riding).
• Sun protection: High-SPF sunscreen, sunglasses, and a sun hat/cap for rest stops and the ferry crossing (cycling helmets are provided).
• Insect repellent: Recommended for riding through lush orchards, fruit gardens, and rural shaded trails.
• Small daypack: To hold your phone, camera, and personal essentials (this can be stored in the support vehicle at any time).
• Rain gear: A lightweight packable rain jacket or poncho (especially during the tropical green season).
